My fenix worktop still shows the fenix logo after removing plastic, I clean non stop but still shows, also it is a Mat top, please advise on best way to clean

I can’t see the logo in your picture, but I think I would contact the supplier about this.

I cannot see the logo either. A cream cleaner and a damp cloth usually clean any worksurface. Did it not come with cleaning instructions? They usually do.

I just wanted to share my experience because I am on a non existent budget too. I saw a picture of a bench I loved, contacted the carpenter, and he has just made me a birch ply kitchen for a total of 1600 euros, including fitting. (600 labour, 400 fitting, 600 for materials). He has kept his price low for me because he likes the project. I am guaranteed to use him now to build wardrobes, boxes, and shelving solutions as and when I have budget. Sometimes talking to individuals who work for themselves/do it on the side can result in very cost-effective solutions! I am paying 300 euros for brushed stainless steel countertops, and got a belfast sink for 100 euro including the mixer tap. Will send u a pic when it's done but my almost dream kitchen has been possible for like 2000 euros (£1800?) I wouldn't shy away from painting the units yourself as there are many tutorials online to show you how, but it is labour-intensive and eggshell paint on cabinets = drips!! You could always just get white or raw cabinets for now, and paint later when you have some cash? Make sure you use quality brushes if you go this route. Nothing more annoying than little hairs sticking in your lovely paint :-/

I had a similar situation in a house I moved into years ago. I did a quick fix of painting all of the walls, woodword and the cupboards the same shade of cream. Sounds a bit OTT but it really knocked back the cupboards, which in all honesty are not something you want to make a feature out of, and created a calmness to the whole space. In your case, I would go for an off white so that the gang plug wires, radiator pipes and covers hiding the wires for the extractor fan etc., are disguised as much as possible -- that will tie in with the palest of the tiles in the splash back, and then you will have a pretty basic colour scheme of a very place colour and the dark worktop, fireplace and floor, which will stand out more. I think you need more storage with doors -- that bookshelf isn't doing anything for the kitchen. If you could get something in there that could hide lots of clutter -- even if just something cheap from IKEA, that would help greatly. Or work something around the filing cabinet that you have? A huge cheap mirror over the fireplace would bounce some light around too. If you don't want to go for undercupboard lighting, and if you have enough plug points, how about some lamps on the worktop, especially at the FF end with a floor standing lamp at the end with the chair. For the table, I would go for a table cloth and reupholster the chairs if they are not to your taste. A new blind in a much fresher colour would be great. Depending on the colour of your filing cabinet (if you use it), I think a petrol blue could add a nice vintage vibe to the chimney breast, and make more of a feature of it. I would try and go down a vintage/slightly industrial route rather than country. You may have some stuff lurking around that you could use, once you have got the base colours right -- currently it just feels a little cluttered and a bit of a mish mash. Best of luck. Hi, I have worked as a mason with marble for 13 years now. You need to try and remove the everyday stuff that has become attached to the surface. Sealing the marble again and again is not advisable before cleaning the surface properly with a solvent based product. You are just creating an impossible barrier to clean through. You need to remove the sealant before trying to remove the stains. Solvent based strippers, designed for natural stone are available to us in the industry, however I am not sure you, as a consumer can purchase them. We buy these chemicals direct form Italy from our stone suppliers. You could however try acetone, just a clean cloth and generous amounts of acetone, a lot of hard cleaning, rubbing off. This should shift some of the greasy residue, and it will take the sealant off, allowing you to really get at the stains. For the rings marks - You can also try Astonish Cream cleaner it come so in the yellow bottle, NOT THE PASTE IT IS TOO ABRASIVE AND WILL SCRATCH THE SURFACE. First wet the marble lightly, add astonish, a decent amount and work in to a lather on the face of the areas that are marked, use a brillo pad on the soft green side, and ten, fifteen minutes, or until you are knackered!! Really clean and work the area. Remove the excess water and cream cleaner with a squeegee if you have one or just lots and lots of fresh paper towels. Continue to wipe the area with clean paper cloth until it is restored to the rest. After this then seal again, wait a good half an hour and then buff off. Failing all of that, your surface will need to be re-honed in situ by a skilled mason who will sand over the face. This will still not remove and stains that are more than surface deep. How old are is the marble just out of interest? And do you have any pictures i could see of the staining?

Hello again! I have now had the new worktop fitted and I’m really pleased with it :). It looks how I thought it should and the join is where my hob will be fitted (hopefully this afternoon) so not noticeable at all. The seam looks more obvious in the photo than it does on the eye but in all honestly it’s fab! Thank you all for your comments and advice, appreciated x
