Comments (48)Having read more comments on this subject, I'd like to say again that we do offer both scented and unscented candles as it is definitely a personal choice. Our customers say our fragrances are lovely and subtle and because we use a rapeseed wax on our smaller candles, this has a lovely gentle smell of its own. Also, because our candles are visually beautiful, a fragrance is not always the first thing on our customers' minds. Comments (3)I use artificial flowers and stems indoors. They seemed quite eye wateringly expensive but everybody comments on them and tbh you make your money back very quickly if you were to buy the same quantity in fresh. That's not to say I don't have fresh flowers though but they're a lot more limited! I've only tried faux plants once, I had buxus in really large pots outside my front door earlier this year. Anyway due to the pot size I didn't put them in soil so we lost one in a storm after a few months......See More

10 days agoFor the best scent ever choose Common Jasmine rather than the evergreen Star Jasmine which isnt as hardy. It’s a vigorous climber and will need support. Honeysuckle is also a fabulous scented climber. Both scents are stronger at night to attract moths who are great pollinators. With roses, some have a subtle scent and some stronger so go to a reputable rose grower like David Austins or Harkness Roses who can advise. Look on their website and order their catalogue. The RHS website is also very good for advice on strongly scented plants. I order a lot of my plants from Crocus online. Excellent quality and they are the main supplier of plants to Waitrose. Not the cheapest but one of the best and the plants are very well packaged. There’s nothing wrong with browsing round a garden centre for a spontaneous purchase, just read the label thoroughly.
