Can you share the artist of the painting?

It's wonderful! Any idea where I could find the artist's work (or see more online) would be much appreciated!

Hi there,
The artist is my mother Nora Frenkel, this is one of 4 paintings in this series but two are in the Jerusalem Museum and one at my sister's in Tel Aviv where we keep the rest of her work, my mother past away 16 years ago.

Oh I am completely green with envy! To buy a beautiful house and score all that gorgeous furniture - how fabulous! I haven't read all the posts but agree that to paint most of these pieces would be a crying shame. I also agree with having a few antique dealers look at your furniture and assess it's value; then sell the pieces you're not so fond of & enjoy those pieces you love.. At the risk of causing upset to anyone, the only pieces I'd consider painting would be those that are damaged beyond restoration but could still be usable &/or functional.... My head is still spinning at all that fab furniture - IF you could find it in Australia you'd be paying $$$$$$!

Hi there, You have a really great room and some modern wall art is definitely the way to go to finish it up, We have lots of large canvases available on Hutsly (http://www.hutsly.com/collections/wall-art/material_canvas) including some in the colours you were after but I would have to agree with the comment above about using different colours to give a bit of life and colour to your space, maybe something like this: Available here. Or this one: Available here. Or this other one: Also available here. They could work for both the wall behind your sofa and the one behind your TV and for example the first and last one are in a similar theme so they would go well together. And for your kitchen wall I would pick something in a portrait format like this: Available here. Or this one which I love too: Available here. Otherwise you could do a display wall here with lots of different prints like the ones on here. Hope that helps!

Wow, thanks so much for all of the amazing tips. They have really helped us out with what might work best in the house. @ Isidora Markovic We are going to treat the wooden floors and keep them dark in Colour. I thought in the kitchen, we might add some spotlights on the ceiling to brighten up the area as a short term solution. @minnie101 Thanks so much, I agree to paint the beam white to blend it into the ceiling. The grasscloth paper will definitely be going. I like the brick as a feature wall and feel the grass cloth is a bit cheap looking. I like the idea of a warm neutral colour. The previous owners shared a picture with white walls and the whole room looked rather cold. As above, I agree that spotlights and lamps will warm the room up a lot. We are based in South Africa, so have many nice paints to choose from. Delux seems to be big here. @Lyn Hickson Thanks so much, Lyn. The precious owner actually owns all of the furniture and the art work. We have travelled quite a bit and thought it might be nice to print some of our images on canvas and hag them instead of art work, so hopefully it will work well in the room. Thanks @ Man About The House - The DIY & Odd Job Handyman - The wooden panel above the arch is actually a bamboo wallpaper which we will be removing - I agree to paint it a neutral/light colour. I'm also quite drawn to a grey colour palette perhaps with some navy/neutral furniture and accessorise with yellow and wood. (not sure if this will work but just a thought). Really appreciate the feedback so far. As much as I would love to live in it first, Im too much of a keen bean and definitely want to give it a lick of paint and get the dirty work done while we have time and before the furniture gets in. Thanks for all the advice - will post some after pictures one it comes together. :)
