Can this bath be done on a smaller scale? Hopefully with shower next to sauna making both a tad smaller? What price range should I budget for this bath?

We are lucky enough to have an actual Spa. Hand constructed obviously given the nature of what i do for a living. It sits in a corner of our garden only a hop from our back door. We have a two stage raised deck with sunken hot tub, a Sauna, fridge freezer with ice dispenser for entertaining etc. The whole thing has a tile and glass roof with pine & full length glass doors. Oh yep, and a Chiminea with a chimney! It also has a cat flap, and the cat totally thinks it's her own room, she scowls as soon as you open the door and walk in!

I have had one for many years and could not possibly live without it. The feeling of relaxation you get after a proper sauna session has no equal and the health benefits are proven. It is more economic to install one than you might think but you do need to have the space. Most hotel/gym saunas are not hot enough so you simply end up feeling clammy rather than reinvigorated in the way that a real sauna makes you feel. Personally I hate hot tubs and find them unhygienic but saunas are wonderful.

If you set a 1700 length P shape shower bath horizontally infront of the window - but brought down the 200mm to clear the soil pipe - have a very slightly angled boxing at the rear of the bath ( so water hitting the tiled boxing flows into the bath ) you would have more standing room in the bath to use it as a shower too - not quite the two separate zones you are after - but more arm room than a standard bath shower ... Might be simpler to install too . If you stagger the basin and loo so there's more room in front of either, that would work better too in my opinion.

Unless you have specific needs or criteria for these dimensions, I don’t think you necessarily need a bath as wide as 90cm, let alone 1.20 M. 2 M in length is quite generous also. these sizes mean a great volume of water to fill a bath. I would probably make the shower larger, since you have the space, perhaps 1.20M X 90 cm although 90x90 is fine too. On the other hand a sauna of 90X90 cm seems small to me. Ideally you should measure in mm (the professional way 🙂) Btw, who is ‘the master’? 😆
