We might have snacked on a mince pie (or two) already this season - just to celebrate that winter has nearly arrived. Although it's not officially winter until the 21st of December, we think it's ok to get carried away and embrace the coldest season of them all with a healthy dose of comfort food.

Comments (10)What concerns me about buying furniture on-line is that I can't try it out to see if it is comfortable and if it fits me , which for me is a crucial quality in furniture (I'm taller, shorter chairs aren't a good fit). I also don't like not being able to assess the quality. I'm not a big fan of on-line furniture retailers for that reason and probably would not use one. So research the market, and especially the price point at which people will buy on-line. I suspect younger people are more apt to buy furniture that is reasonably priced on-line. Include all measurements (including seat height on chairs) and have a review/comment section so people can see how the folks who have bought furniture like both quality and the delivery service....See MoreWhat's your favourite candle-scent?

7 years agoMy wife and I detest winter and head for the canaries every year for a month or two. This year we leave in mid September and will be back by the end of November
( Unfortunately ). We have reached the point where we now have to consider selling everything and making the permanent move.
Let's face it, we haven't even had a summer yet !!
