Favourite headboard shape?

Here at Button&Sprung we are currently working on some new bed designs to add to our collection, we would love to hear what your favourite shapes and styles of headboard are? We are also thinking of introducing a tailboard option to some of our bed designs. We would be very grateful for your thoughts and comments!

I have twin beds in a loft room with limited head room, I'd be interested to see your ideas on a budget

Thanks for your interest drywsdad, we have a couple of low profile headboards that could be suitable for your loft room. I would suggest you take a look at our Arabella, Burdock or Campion beds, all can be found on our website: http://www.buttonandsprung.com/beds. We can also supply bedstead and divan bases without a headboard which would be ideal for a room with limited head room. Hope this helps!

Hi, I would love to see the end result if you do have any pictures.. My room has no real wall to put bed against.. one alcove is 100cm.. the other 120cm however it slopes where roof is, the goes into a large L or maybe even a L and another backwards L.. Did you just get the bedroom chimney breast taken out and/pr downstairs too?

I'd go big. A full size upholstered square on the headboard front - make it luxurious like a hotel room. Perhaps play up the textures - maybe using a suede type fabric? I think it's a lovely room already - it has "zen" appeal. Good luck with your search. On a separate note that grey is divine - could you tell me which brand / name please?

Herringbone or Chevron - Which is your favourite?

We have seen a huge resurgence in herringbone recently and this outsells chevron quite significantly. Chevron is also more complex to manufacture correctly and as such commands a higher price. Herringbone is certainly very much on trend at the moment and highly featured in many of the lifestyle magazines an indeed here on Houzz. It is also a popular choice within the retail and commercial sectors. As Woodpecker have commented above herringbone has a more traditional look and you wont regret having installed it as you back in 10 years time as it wont look dated. If you want a more modern twist that looks less 'old school hall' consider opting for wider and longer herringbone.
