Outdoor LEDs Products?

Hi there,
This is Outdoor LEDs, we are new to Houzz! We have just come across this photo and are delighted to see that our Livinglites are in it! Is there any way you could credit us for the lighting, or possibly allow us to use the image?

We removed 6 recessed spots from our breakfast room ceiling and replaced them with one central pendant light and it was the best thing ever! The lighting was always harsh even with trying all sorts of different bulbs and a dimmer but now it's transformed. We put off doing it for years as we thought it would be a major job and require re-plastering the ceiling but it was all done in less than 2 days. Our electrician did the wiring changes which didn't take him long and then the decorator patched the holes left by the recessed spots and used filler to blend them in. A coat of paint to the entire ceiling and you cannot see at all where the old lights were.

I think i'd be very tempted to paint the house in your chosen colour. Then when deciding upon the bulbs i'd get a couple of torches with either the daylight ( cool white ) bulbs and then alternative warm white and shine up on to the house to see what shade you prefer. After all, the lights will be on at night and you might find that the cool white / daylight bulbs are just too bright compared to the warm white. Cool white is the brighter white light, warm white is the the one with the yellowy tinge. Daylight bulbs are usually used indoors only and are high lumen output for those requiring daylight look inside. As for the angle, it's down to personal choice again, also, you may wish to consider what it's like to be inside with all those lights on shining at the house. Depending on your choice of window furnishings, you may not want all that light shining near the windows. Our next door neighbour has two either side of the door on their conservatory, we live in the middle of nowhere and it's quite dark. Their lights are so bright that we had to buy both blackout blinds and curtains for our back bedroom to stop the light coming in. We both grew up in the country and accept it for what it is, they on the other hand don't feel safe unless everything's lit up like a Christmas tree all year round. Neighbours eh?? They also moan about horse poo in the street and pigeons sitting on their fences...............I digress. !!

There are many variables when it comes to lighting and downlights are no exception. If you’re referring to ceiling downlights then I’d speak to City Electrical Factors (CEF) they’re a national company so I’m sure they can help. A brand I’m familiar with are ‘illuma’ so you could search them online to find out what they would recommend too. For kitchen and bathroom lighting search Sensio or Loox but you’ll need to find a none trade supplier as these are typically sold by trade only distributors.
