Hi, I was the photo stylist for this property shoot, the chairs are Vintage Lloyd Loom - reproduction Lloyd Loom chairs and tables are available again - Check out Lloyd Loom of Spalding and Lusty who are the original manufacturers. Good Luck.

Hi Karen, two things immediately came to mind when I saw your images. Firstly, I would leave the table as it is, by painting it in a conservatory where there can be a lot of light can fade the paint in different places on the table over time. Have you thought of maybe just changing the chairs for an chic-er look. Maybe various shapes and colours sourced from your local tip or second hand store? You could maybe have a set of white wooden chairs sourced from IKEA for example. Also, the corner where there is a tin of paint, I would move your Yukka into that space instead. It looks too cramped on the right hand side. Again with the table, I would leave it bare ( less is more in a conservatory, due to fading and the fact the you don't have much space to play with) . I would place three glass jars on your table with a little sand in the bottom of each and a church candle. Finally, the piece de la resistance the lighting. You could change that for a real statement piece which would look amazing and bring everything together. There are some amazing chandeliers out there that are also very inexpensive. Hi Natalie. Does the conservatory have 2 or 3 walls of windows? What size is it? First option is a slight seaside theme using pastels colours. I'd buy a wardrobe (assuming you have a wall) for toy storage so boxes can be piled up and hidden away (maybe create extra shelves in the wardrobe yourself), This one is from dreams for £200. The table and chairs is £60 from wooden toys direct. If there's room I'd go for the White karlstad sofa from ikea and add pastel throw/s and cushions to prevent it getting dirty. Maybe some timber/driftwood effect wallpaper and hang bunting around. I'd also add a low bookcase if room.

If you were our client, we would first assess which way the house faces in order to understand the direction of the sun and the likely impact on the space in terms of light and heat, plus we would ask what use you intend to place on the new space. It is also the case that with whatever heating - a fully glazed conservatory can seem an inhospitable space in the winter months. Even in the UK heat gain during our short summer is a major consideration and whilst roof blinds can be added - these can spoil the original design intent. A part solid / part glazed roof with fully glazed walls may be the most successful. Attached image of a garden room with a large strategically placed roof light and two fully glazed walls.

Hi Navneet! Conservatories have very short useful times during the year. In the summer they tend to be way too hot and in the winter way too cold. So that's one thing worth deciding - is it comfortable enough to keep because you can use it for a lot of the year, or is it unused for a lot of the year. Some more questions for you, that I hope will help you define what you want: - is the conservatory blocking light into the kitchen? If so does this bother you? - Is the view of the garden more limited with the conservatory or do you enjoy the garden more from the conservatory? - Where would you have your dining table if not in the conservatory - the kitchen? Would this be big enough for you and for any entertaining you do - is the conservatory big enough for this now? Ask your local estate agent (perhaps the ones you bought through) about the impact on resale value for removing the conservatory. You should be able to replace the kitchen and bathroom for your budget. Depending on what materials, etc you choose. You could easily spend that £30k on just the kitchen if you wanted to! But equally you can cover a decent amount of redecoration and new fittings in that budget. I recommend that you keep a spreadhsheet to keep it on track. Hope this helps. Jane, iarchitect :)
