Georgian open plan kitchen/living room

I need advice on whether to use white gloss or white matt kitchen units in an open plan kitchen/living room. The apartment is Georgian, I'm using wooden flooring and going for a chic updated Art Deco with an old English twist look in the living room. The worktops will be light grey Quartz with a wood island/table. The walls will be painted either white or very pale grey. The apartment will be used as service lets. I'm worried that matt white units will show the dirt more than gloss but would gloss look too modern/tacky. Wanting to go for more of a classic chic look. Help!
