I need help with my new loft bedroom

I have painted the walls in Farrow & Ball 'Cornforth White" which is a light grey colour. I am now looking to match some curtain fabric and carpet and don't know where to start.

Would be grateful for any advice on what matches Cornforth White? Thanks a million.

Hi. I think it depends what look you're after. If you want something cool and spacious looking then team it with white, darker shades of grey and maybe some black and silver accessories, as per the image from homebunch. If you want something a bit warmer then try shades of pink or purple with some white added in. Or you could even try darker shades of grey mixed with some bright colours. I think a grey carpet in a slightly darker shade would work as per the pic from florencefinds. If you go for the grey carpet make sure you do team it with lots of white etc to avoid the whole room looking grey.

Hi there, I'd say you've made a great start with Cornforth White because it's such a lovely calming and understated grey colour. It also means you can go pretty much any way colour wise. If you fancy keeping the room relatively neutral, opt for a relatively simple fabric for the curtains... Carpet wise, I think a natural hessian style would look lovely. Hope the ideas help!

Great work so far. I love the colour of the blue on the wall, the painting, and the chest of drawers. Are any of these pictures appealing? I'm thinking a bit of yellow would be nice to add or you can just add varying shades and textures of neutrals in the bedding, throws, and curtains or blinds. You need to think about what you want to use the room for, then look at likely furniture placement and the furniture that has to stay, lastly you need to unify the scheme with decorating and soft furnishings which will be easier to decide upon when you know what is staying ( for instance is there a carpet that has to stay) The obvious problems to resolve are: the clutter - which will likely be resolved with a good clear out- you could also build storage cupboards under the slope of the roof assuming this doesn't make the room the wrong size to accommodate whatever else you may need. The poor quality walls- which will look better for freshening up with paint- a good decorator will fill holes and recommend a really flat paint which will help. A good decorator will pop the lights out to paint well. If this room is going to be a bedroom then it may be worth getting additional softer lighting. Lastly you seem to have 2 small velux windows at heights that don't match which doesn't help with a polish look. If I was going to use this as a bedroom I might consider replacing them with a statement window. Lastly thanks for the pics but they are so close to things it is hard to visualise the whole room- any chance of a wider pic and a plan?

Hi Rhian Do you need to use any of the space as a home office space ? If yes then maybe a small table with chair and shelving or a pin board above. If not, how about a cosy chair with a side table for a lamp. Make it a reading area. Here's my reading nook space - chair from dfs and I use a set of Ikea steps as a book rest/lamp.
