Lovely kitchen!

But am wondering where would you put the coffee machine, toaster and kettle, to keep the clean lines, something I use daily. This is an issue I am struggling with in creating my new kitchen? Any suggestions? Thank you for your advice.

Hello misuen,
Thank you for your interesting inquiry. One possible solution is a brekfast bar unit with pocket doors.Really usefull in those kind of situation. All the sockets are integrated inside the unit,so when is not in use you have only to close the doors to have your clean line.

Thanks, Gabby. Yes, our neighbors are having their house Extention being built at the moment. My husband invited their project manager, and he suggested that £5K would cover building works without kitchen installation. Nowhere near £24k, even if an expensive installation for £4K is added to £5K.

I agree with stealing the hall into the open plan space - although that might involve steels if there are supporting walls. I;d also put the kitchen where the dining is and keep the solid section of wall where the soil pipe is - incorporate it into the kitchen design - have a big picture window in the kitchen side of the room and then open up the dining/lounge side with big patio/bifold doors. that should minimise moving soil pipes/drainage and make more of the space. I'd also close off the doors into the lounge (from current dining) so that kitchen cabinets can go there.

Hi everyone, I’m new to Houzz and we just moved into a partially finished renovation project last Friday. We have a lovely kitchen diner with a grey kitchen - dark grey cupboards, grey tiles marble work surface and grey laminate. My husband and I are having discussions trying to choose a paint colour to go with the kitchen but not be too dark in the living room bit.
