Need advice on how to make a dining/home office combo work!
Comments (2)Spray frost or use decorative cling film on the glass in the china cabinet so you can't see in it and use it to organize all the stuff. Pull the table away from the wall and use an upholstered bench in the nook to seat a 5th person at the table for dining. Use the opposite end of the table for your computer space so you can scoot all 4 chairs under it and out of the way. Replace the short curtains with fabric or fiber roman shades. Lower your picture collage so the center of it is 60" above the floor....See MoreNeed to tame my craft room/home office
Comments (3)Hi Karen, I have a space like that as well! But I have spread it all around my house, the only 'safe' place left is the bathroom. How is the lighting in your space? Do you have a window? Its important depending on this as you have to design with this in mind. You don't want to feel claustrophobic in your creative space. Do you need a permanent desk/craft table or are you expected to have items such as computer and phone on your desk. You can make a sturdy table that can be folded up to the wall and when in use can come back down. This same table can have smart storage solutions placed on them (mechanical addition) so it would be a rack storage when up or down. Comments (0)1: I have a large south-facing window in the sitting room in the new house. I need advice on furniture arrangement and which wall to place the tv. 2: My smallish home office is going to be roughly 2.17x3.18m. On of the walls is really high - almost roof-length. Any thoughts on design ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!...See MoreHome office layout and style - help please
Comments (5)Thank you for your help. I was thinking of putting a large bookcase on wall that backs onto utility room but I want to get the desk location right first. I just need plenty of storage and enough space to work on a laptop. I would like the room to double up as a nice reading room too I think. I was hoping to have it as an office and craft room but it's just not big enough for crafting in I don't think, and my husband likes the idea of it also being a reading room too....See MoreJane Gray
