Need advice on how to make a dining/home office combo work!

I have a small dining area (in our living room/diner) that doubles up as our home office. The table is constantly full of clutter! As you can see from the pics the space is awfully limited. Can anybody think of storage solutions or ways in which to tidy up the area cheaply, so that we can access home office stuff but also have a dining table we might be able to have dinner on once in a while? The only spare space is the little nook between the table and the cabinet - about 30cms wide I suppose. Any advice would be great appreciated. Thanks
