Urgent advice re front garden stone colour!

Hi all, i have to order some garden stone to cover our front lawn this morning but i cant decide between the creamy yellow cotswold stone or a grey limestone (latter is much cheaper!)
I like the brightness of the yellow but im much more of a contemporary person and love grey.

Anyone had either of these stones and offer advice??

House is red brick with black & white paintwork

Hi. I agree with Karen and Emanuelle, it looks good and would wait. Are all the colours matched? The Wimborne looks true to colour to me but hard to tell from a pic! Have the walls been painted already? If you don't like it once finished look at wevet (doesn't have a cream undertone) or cornforth White ( look at kitchen images combined with raisins/downpipe) rather than ŵalls or purbeck stone. This is purbeck with railings or will be when I can post a pic!

Many thanks to everyone! After seeing them again and laying in a right way I decided to keep then. And of course go for Cooacabana with more black in it with wavy pattern (rather than linear). These tiles cost me £17 per sqm and are a bargain for the quality that they are (getting them from abroad). Apart from the pattern they are very white which overall would keep the floor colour white.

Hi Rachel and thank you! I did draw it all out to scale and it seems to work on paper; my problem is I want everything! I want the big lawn, I want the swinging chair, I want the canopy of forest plants, I want the romantic arbour with climbing roses filling it, I want the grand waterfall and I want the huge BBQ and 8 seater table which (in my fantasy) we'd use every weekend when hosting friends and family :) My, that's a lot of I wants!!! :D (I sound like my 5 year old) I will say I do believe a lot of the above is achievable if you get things to the correct scale of your space.. So I'll have to settle for a bistro table with 4 seats around it instead of my 8 seater magnificent dining table :)

I think grey too! Last month we had a small patio put around our shed too. I really struggled to find slabs that I liked. In the end we went with these - they are actually concrete (which I wanted because the patio sits level with my grass and I didn’t want lawn feed to stain). Hi all,

Yes the red brick is staying.
We got a sample of the limestone but when wet, it went really dark.

Have opted for a creamy cotswold stone instead which is a v pale lemon/white colour and stays that when wet as well.

The limestone was cheaper but looked ugly when i washed the white powder off it, lol. Thank goodness for samples!

Agreed on limestone, I made the mistake of Cotswold clippings and they attract algae, quite hard to keep looking 'nice'.
