Do you have another picture posted somewhere showing the other side of the bar? What is on the other side? Thx

The countertops are black tile granite. The cabinets are by Mastercraft with an ebony stain. We have a mixtures of open shelving and cabinets with doors. Thanks for looking!

this is beautiful. I'd like to see the other side of the bar as well. Are there appliances and a sink on the other side?

I helped my Dad build a fire pit in his garden, he made wooden seats to sit around the metal fire pit with old stone columns for extra seating (unfortunately you can't see the actual fire-pit as behind the stone bench). Lots of stories and fun are had around it until deep into the night. If you have the space it is a great addition to put in! Shannon

A flickering flame surrounded by ancient carved stone - Antique stone fireplaces add both character and a sense of place to any room, the knocks and bumps of the decades nay centuries, connecting hearth to home. Even with the advent of central and underfloor heating we crave that focal gathering point that a fireplace provides - a room without a fireplace? Nowhere to hang the picture, mirror or tapestry, no were to put your cards and certainly no place to hang your Christmas stocking!

Comfort & design. We have the same as in the 2nd picture which are really comfortable to sit on and they look great too. So many we looked at especially with no back support whilst may look great are not that good to sit on for any length of time. When we have family/friends round they are more than happy choosing to spend an evening sat in the Eames style stool over our sofa. As we have an open plan kitchen/living/ dining area, we are also thinking of choosing a mix of colours in the same design to replace the chairs at our dining table.

In my view the door needs to either be one or the other as it is a transition between spaces unless the use of each spaces require specific acoustic or Fire-resistance properties ...... or the other alternative is to install modern doors throughout with perhaps some sand-blasted glass to provide light but obscure direct vision

thanks. did you use the same granite as the bar top to put on the cabinet level (with the sink)? This is such a great basement!
