I don't have a clue......
Comments (17)I completely agree with Matthew! It looks like you have a lot that you want to change. Pretty daunting and costly when you look at it all together. I would give yourself wee targets. One room this month, another next month, for example. Then the ground floor outside/ inside this year. Upstairs next year. It will ensure that you are seeing yourself move forwards. The danger of trying to do too much at once, unless you have a huge team behind you, is that you will feel like you are getting no-where. Pretty demotivating. One step at a time. Nautral colours are always a great base too. It will look clean, fresh and be a blank canvass for your next project. Alternatively with neutral colurs, just new soft furnishings will changethe feel of a room incredibly... Looks exciting though!! Imagine when it is done and all in your own style :)...See MoreHelp! How do we light our double height kitchen/ dining snug area plea
Comments (11)Hi Hansbans73 Your project in the visuals looks amazing and I’m very jealous! I feel that the double height roof space and pitch definitely merits having a feature pendant, as it appears the pitch is central and so will offer a complete feel to the space. Downlights in the high ceiling will make the space feel too open in my opinion and, ideally, you want something that’ll sew each of the spaces together. If you could build a platform on the pitch to take a pendant, and you like contemporary styles, I would consider something like the Harco Loor Big Bubbles pendant (top photo below). It would fill the space nicely but wouldn’t obstruct your awesome view from the balcony, as you can see through it. Of course, decoration is subject to taste and there are plenty of other options - multiple pendants like the Muuto E27 pendants (bottom photo below) can be hung at varying heights and don’t cost the earth. Finally, adding in some 5amp sockets for complimentary table lamps and floor lamps will give your living space versatility. I hope this helps and look forward to seeing the final pictures! Comments (8)Thanks for the comment @Ellie. Yes the door into the kitchen is top left. What you have suggested is actually what is on the plan. The problem we're having is how to join the tall bank of units on the right of the pic to the base units (large pan drawers) at the top of the pic. Will having a tall corner unit look too overpowering? I can't get a good 3d picture on the planner I am using....See MoreHELP!! what do I do with my island pendants??
Comments (24)Awww thanks Ellie, I was gutted for you to read about your flooring issues! Yea, the guys have really kept things moving forward. Downstairs Should be painted over the next week, then flooring goes down 18-20th..then they can fit the pocket doors into the frames, then they need to be painted! Then we can get all our furniture back! But next exam is the 3rd :-0 so Proper unpacking will be mostly after that! Need to order new wardrobes and a new bed! Can’t believe how much has happened! In the last few months! Back wall - plan is to get a wooden shelf (probably an upcycled scaffolding board one) for all my many recipe books, which will add some life and colour! And a magnetic strip for some knives :-)...See Morebrannankj
