Unsightly boiler

hi... i have rather unsightly boiler in my kitchen... photo is attached..
pls suggest the ways to hide/ decorate it so that it will luk nice..

I boxed mine in with same side panels from kitchen then used fridge door for integrated fridge from same kitchen range I had already, left the top part open for venting

It won't let me upload picture but if you google image "combi boiler in kitchen unit" you will see what I mean, it's the pictures where the unit sits on top of the worktop

You might be restricted by where it is and also enclosed tight in a cupboard if it needs space around it. However, you could have a kind of wooden jacket that sits on top of it so it basically has a front, sides & top only. MDF would do it. You could paint it in chalkboard paint to use for shopping list etc or magnetic paint and use as a notice board

We would suggest you contact an architectural designer to rationalise the layout and ensure structural verification. As a quick note, we would suggest not placing a w/c near the kitchen/dining room, so that air contamination from the w/c won't enter these areas after use. www.pwjarchitects.com

If you feel unsure about the building under permitted development and applying for your own building regs etc, why not employ a builder who is confident on that side of things. Then you will not get misleading info from the Council who are often apt to give their opinion that you do not have to stick to. ( Honestly, that happens a lot - in fact to us too ). Building under permitted development really is relatively easy to understand. Basically the size and height are restricted, the nearness to the boundary and roads, and that's it in a simple nutshell.
