If you add comment on it, it puts that old dilemma back in the current list ! It doesn't really matter - but that's why you sometimes see posts that are dated 2013 !! Comments (58)your welcome from my experience you are always starting again with homes as styles and you change so you will have a head start. I'm always changing things with paint and reinventing rooms but over the years found that the classics especially if originals like yours will always stand the test of time and never go out of style but they dont have to look dated mix it up. if you tire of the carpet which I love think about making it into a huge rug bounded around the edge with what ever colour adorns your walls then would look stunning on a wood floor same with the sink could always be used in another room I would team it with black or even faux marble back drop oh endless fun and NOT AVAILABLE on the high street enjoy your home always...See MoreThe minefield of choosing a white paint - HELP
Comments (7)Not grey white, that's also cold. Brilliant white is a white with extra blue added, so that is cold to very cold depending how much blue was added. You want a white which is slightly tinted yellow instead. I suggest you try a tester of Dulux 'Timeless' which is available in a kitchen paint and also B&Q's 'Antique White' which is a premium paint which can be washed if stuff splashes on it. The Dulux kitchen paint can be washed too, and probably has better stain and grease resistance. How important the stain resistant aspect is depends on how you use your kitchen and how close to the cooker and sink you're painting, but I would always go for a washable paint in a kitchen. A specialist kitchen paint is better. You'll just have to see if the whites will go together - that's what testers are for. Also, all the grey in a North-facing kitchen will be making it look darker and colder. You might consider choosing another colour for your painted wall in the dining area. I know grey is 'in' right now but that doesn't mean it works well everywhere and anywhere....See MoreCoucouManou
