Wall colour in new bathroom

The tiles on the wall and floor are a very neutral colour, no border, not sure whether to go for neutral on the walls as well or a darker stone/mushroom colour or something else? It all looks a bit plain.

Need pictures but here is some color samples, not certain what color your cabinets are...pictures of the space would help us help you

Hi Donned2004, Depending on your budget, I would go with a textured wallpaper, also frequently called 'hessian wallpaper'; these are basically plain colours yet the texture adds depth. I feel like for the size of your bathroom, a solid paint colour would be far too heavy. However, if you'd prefer a paint: I'd go with faux painting. Again like the textured wallpaper, basically plain yet with a distinct depth. I think either would look stunning in this particular room. As for colour, I'd stick with soft beiges or similar so as not to divert attention from the tiles and simply because the room is relatively small I wouldn't go with a bright or warm colour. Ah... if you haven't moved in, stay off paint for a while. They can hide minor leaks! Pressure test the bathroom before painting. You will find it a lot less boring during summer! If you are ordering shutters, a non-white one might be a good option to start with. If you don't want to invest at such early stage, look up 247blinds, I always get my blinds from them and the blinds are very easy to install. Hope it helps :)

We've been for a look around a tiling store today and played around with some ideas. We really like the below tile, similar to what was recommended above; We compared it against a wooden effect floor tile, an anthracite tile, and a "cement" coloured tile; The bathroom itself is fairly small; approx 2m x 2.5m. Not sure if the wood or the anthracite might be too dark for the room?
