Upright BAGGED Vacuum cleaners

I have hardwood, tile and one room with carpet. I absolutely hate bagless vacuums. Taking the bagless compartment out makes a bigger mess and. That is not good for my lungs and asthma. Plus it makes a mess all over the vacuum itself. Can anyone give my direction on a Bagged Upright Vacuum?

I was looking at Oreck, I know they are pricey but I also saw mixed reviews.

Need anyone's input please?

I just replaced my bagged vacuum and LOVE my new one. It's a Hoover (http://www.amazon.com/Hoover-Windtunnel-MAX-Bagged-Upright/dp/B0055SNR2A). Besides the amazing suction, it has an extra long extension hose that extends all the way up my staircase so I don't have to try to vacuum AND balance the machine at the same time. It has a special hose attachment that has a rotating brush head for carpeted stairs and upholstery. The cord isn't as long as I'd like...but that the only complaint I have.

I personally feel the Dyson vac is great and popping the cannister off and dumping into garbage isn't messy.

We have a pull-out section in a wardrobe with 3 sections (whites, brights and darks) for dirty laundry. It's in our bedroom so might be a pain if there were other people in the house. I keep meaning to put in some fabric bags (the drawer is a bit too deep) to make it easier. Clean stuff for ironing is on the shelf above. The ironing board is set up in a spare bedroom but I like to iron in our bedroom so that I can watch TV at the same time. Plus the clothes can be put back easily into the wardrobes without carting them around the house.

Ironing. I don't. As others have mentioned, I also take clothes straight out of the tumble dryer and fold nicely. Since I finished with the city job, 10 yrs ago, am now resident in snowy N Yorkshire and run a small cheese making business I am lucky that I no longer have to wear shirts or ultra smart clothes for work, just a polo shirt, jeans and jumper. Actually no longer own an iron. Dusting too. Hate it. Also, my vacuum cleaner is afraid of heights so seldom makes it upstairs. Am beginning to think I am getting slovenly in my old age.

Just the way we like it. Here's how to make the most of yours. Call for order Like with any room in your home, the layout and the furniture inside your laundry room needs to make sense. Instead of working with what you have, it's a good idea to take a step back and to think about what you need and then go from there. Do you have your washing machine and tumble dryer side by side? If so, a cabinet that can stack them is a wise investment, freeing up a chunk of floor space. Do you have a vacuum cleaner, mop and ironing board propped up against a wall or stood in a corner? The 'sock fairy' does her rounds when the children are in bed, and quietly puts them in the washing machine. The same for the dishes in the dishwasher. Then, the timers kick in at wake up time. It is lovely to think that the machines are doing all the work and I haven't even got up yet! Beds made and we're off to do life! No time for cleaning. We hire the person who does the floors windows and the boring stuff, and I make a point of inviting someone once a month when the whole family pitches in and we all go mad and make the house extra beautiful with flowers and such. We're all pretty neat and clean up and tidy as we go, so we don't really live in mess- but I'm not a slave to the Neatnik.
