Housewife Pillow Cases

What pillows do I need to get for housewife pillow cases. I have just purchased some pillows to go into my new housewife pillow case and it doesn't fit well at all. any advice please

The shape of the pillow will be defined by what's in the insert. Generally a mix of duck or goose down with duck feather will fill the pillow case nicely. If you're allergic or prefer polyester, which looks little bit flat, I put 2 inserts in one pillowcase.

I have a lot of throws! I have two huge faux fur ones rolled up at the end of a corner sofa, where there is no back as it's the chaise part, so they work as a back rest. I also have a gorgeously soft chenille type which is light grey with feint white stars on, to pull over my legs when it gets chilly. In the bedroom I have a basket full, mostly floral to go with the room, they are great when it's too warm to get under the duvet when watching a movie in bed.

I love Josette wallpaper. I used it on my chimney breast in my old bedroom. Loved it so much, another shade went up under the dado up the stairs and in the hall in my house too. We then moved and we have it now in our new bedroom in yet another shade! I put the paper up in my old bedroom. It’s tricky but not the worst paper I have ever hung.

Hi Jan, I'm no expert but happen to be planning a turquoise colour scheme for my bedroom and have a few ideas to share. The easiest solution might be to just paint the bedside lockers a light turquoise or even a deep teal. Ikea has the light turquoise version of your bedside lockers for inspiration: Get rid of the wall lamps as you said, and ditch the office blinds & the light blue curtains. Maybe some deep teal curtains with a fine white mesh net curtain or some white venetian blinds behind the teal curtains? Keep the lamps, bedspread & blue & white pillows. The painting is a bit bland but might look better without the black corner brackets. Here is a room on Pinterest that looks similar: Best of luck!

Thanks so much everyone for taking the time to respond. Much appreciated. So I'm kind of stuck with the chaise as it is but could move it to another room (at the cost of moving the problem elsewhere). It's not actually mine so I don't really want to go to the expense of reupholstering it. The chest also isn't mine, but I'll have them both for a few years yet. If I move the chaise I'd probably have to swap it for a deep red rocking chair I have in another room (see pic), which would again influence the colour scheme. The sofa would fit under the window but there's a radiator there so it's not really ideal. I'll look into moving the TV point though as that would allow me to have chaise / rocking chair and sofa on two walls together. I agree that the blinds are an issue so I think I'll try to get either a glass covering instead, or some white blinds. I may even paint the windows white too if I'm brave enough. For the walls, I liked your mock up Carolins and the suggestions to use a light grey. That's what I was already considering. Still can't decide whether to have a dark grey feature wall, but it's tempting. I agree with the accent colour suggestions - I really like pink or yellow with grey. Carolins - where are those yellow toned cushions from? Definitely a big mirror too. Hmm decision time!
