Flooring for our kitchen. Advice please

We are finishing our kitchen. It has white glossy units with black worktops, white tiles under the wall units and under extractor hoods (we have two hobs) and then bright green paint on a full wall in the eating area and over the wall units and extractor hoods.

My husband was thinking vinyl that looks like black slate tiles. I was thinking vinyl that looks like black / dark grey wood planks.

Any advice / ideas?
