Roman Shades--two layer

These are beautiful! Which fabric is providing the square pattern? Should the front fabric be the one to do that? Thank you any advice you can provide.

The front layer is the fabric that had embroidered motifs, the backing was a sheer white batiste used as lining. I believe the front fabric is called Four Square, by Robert Allen.

Totally agree with VLS Curtain Makers Ltd. Whether you choose curtains or blinds to dress a window they should be what you like and want, suit the property and your lifestyle. I have clients with pets who would rather have a blind so that the fabric doesn't get covered in dog hair, whereas other clients prefer to have curtains trailing across the floor simply because they like the look and it suits how they live and the style of the property as well as their other furnishings.

Hi Aysha, There are a couple of systems that might suit - Day and Night Transition blinds http://www.hillarys.co.uk/blinds-range/day-night-transition%E2%84%A2-blinds/ layer two Pleated fabrics, and you could pick a sheer and another option. I'd have to say stay away from silver as I think it will clash with both the floor and the furniture, which are neutral tones. A light oak curtain pole and pale neutral curtains with a natural material if you're going to go with the curtains. These are a similar colour to the furniture, a shade or two lighter to lift the room, but should work well with the blue of the wall and the floor and the furniture. curtains 2 Go You could also have the curtains, just for show and couple them with Roman blinds in the blue, which I personally think would look amazing.
