In search of the perfect coffee table. marble vs ceramic?

Hi Houzzers!
What better community than to ask all of you for expert opinion! I need your help!
Currently decorating a new home and am torn between two coffee tables! Both similar, but different:
Option 1: a square marble coffee table W 900mm x H 401mm x D 900mm, with mat black base. Prixe: £699. Brand: Gillmore space. This brand does mainly do wholesale to interior designers, showhomes etc. Carrara marble.
Option 2: a square cemaric marble-effect coffee table from Ligne Roset 'space'. W 992mm x H 352mm x D 992mm. priced: £865
What would be my best bet price/quality wise? How is the upkeep between ceramic and marble different? what will last longer in time?
Anyone own one of these babies and has reviews?
