Curtain dilemma

After a long wait we finally have had our curtains installed. I'm really unsure about these ones in the bathroom. Have l done the wrong thing by going with a colour, would they have been better white? I've included a day shot and the sheer looks ok, but at night it's a different story. The curtain company need to redo these anyways as it should have been pinch pleat rather than gather tape gathering. I'm very Confused, need advise please. I was hoping it would soften the hard lines in the bathroom but it just doesn't seem right....... And curtains aren't cheap so I'm feeling pretty sick about it all :-(
