Open plan curtains dilemma

Hi everyone, I have completed furnishing my open plan house, I'm literally stuck with the choice of curtains (the one I have at the moment matched the old sofas, they will have to go). Being my house open plan I need something that matches both kitchen area, dining and living room. Considering that the whole is quite plain, what would you suggest I should go for? My idea was to use different shades of blues like in the pop art paintings I have, some geometric pattern, and I was thinking of changing all my silver accessories into brass. I would be extremely grateful of any suggestion/comment, thanks very much in advance.

Colour dilemma north/south facing open plan space
Comments (53)Dulux Rock Salt is a grey but off-white which reflects a lot of light but dries darker than a white. It joins warmer colours like blush or grape well and the Laura Ashley Garrat side table in honey you can see sits well too. It easily matches your marble but would join your tiles, accent wall and floor up I'm positive. This is in our westerly facing landing and stairs which doesn't get a massive amount of light; painted this week (so not quite finished). In my view, yellowy greys look more of a beige too and would look sickly with your other colours (the dust sheets you can see are creamy beige for context). Comments (0)I need suggestions to break out for spiraling ideas to utilise space in the open plan kitchen and living area. As per the current design below, we enter through the hallway into kitchen via pocket door. The WC is on the right hand side. I have a long 7 meter kitchen and island. I want to put an American F/F but would not prefer to keep on the existing kitchen, as American F/F spoils the look of contemporary handleless kitchen. I have couple of vague ideas as shown below. I am sure there must be better way to use this space but I am not able to visualise that. Any suggestion(s) will receive a grand welcome. Comments (7)The garden is south facing so the sun comes through the kitchen and living room windows. We have thought about going into the the Living room, our Hesitation is it’s a good sized room with a nice fireplace. We have also thought about maybe extending out a metre or so from the kitchen to square it off but assuming this would be pretty expensive to do...See More1920s house - open plan dilemma
Comments (0)Hi guys, We’re 2/3 of the way through renovating our 1920’s house. Upstairs is done and we now have the ground floor to do. We don’t know whether to extend, squaring off the back of the house, or knock through the space we already have. Anyone able to share pics of knocking through and how the space looks?
