There are kitchen companies that can replace the doors, plinths and end panels etc thus completely changing the colour of your kitchen but using existing units. One I know if is Dream doors which my neighbour used to go from dark wood to cream and I cannot tell they are the old units. I like your kitchen, the layout seems good. I feel whats making it feel a bit dated is the amount of orangey pine or similar wood. Even changing the door knobs would help. If you wanted a greater change, a handleless slab kitchen in either a matching cream as the aga, or a grey might work? As an aside, changing the colour of the floor might help too.

It's a tough questions, corian doesn't stain and is repairable but does scratch easily, quartz can stain and can't be repaired but doesn't scratch anywhere near as easily, both aren't the best with heat, neither is granite, all shouldn't have extreme heat directly applied to them. Price wise, pure coloured corians are usually cheaper than pure coloured quartz, but then patterned corians are usually more expensive than patterned quartz/granite. Both have pros and cons and I think it ultimately comes down to how you use the kitchen and what style you want. We have both on display in our showroom and we sell both just as much.

I think maybe Granite in the standard colours is actually quite a dated product. I know that people still use it. Maybe i'm more against it as i've lived with ours for nearly 20 years. The granite was very expensive and although we've changed units, we haven't changed the work top. I know my wife hates it, as it's pure black and hard to keep shiny. We've got a beautiful pale silestone ( polar cap ) in our new house, if we ever get there. Have to sell this one first, and this side of Brexit just isn't happening!! Good luck with your project.

Cashmere popular. Mine being fitted this week. I have chosen real wood worktop and upstand. Plain Glass splashback behind hob and oxide emerald green floor tiles. Just for something different. Walks mmm not sure……something muted. Small kitchen but bright! Ideas… don’t hate me re floor 😳
