Alternatives all covering to tiles for bathroom (shower)

Hey
I'm looking to redo my bathroom, it's tilled at the moment. Quite like to have a wall without tiles. Water will be hitting it from shower, above bath. Are there any alternatives out there? Is there a waterproof render?

Shower panels are watertight and they seem to be sold by all the big DIY places these days. http://www.showerwall.co.uk/

Update -- my plumber finally returned. Not sure what he did while here, but he told me again it wasn't working -- then he did some work on a radiator which had a small leak. We were having a long discussion about options on pumps, new showers, taps etc and I read out the installation guide and he tried it again, and suddenly it worked. It is bizarre as I don't know how many times i tried it previously. My friend who works in construction ALSO called earlier today and tried it several times to no avail. It must have been extremely stiff or perhaps the plumber realised some airlock whilst fixing the radiator since I think water pressure is much stronger since he went. Thanks for everyones help -- i learned lots on plumbing and a valuable lesson to take out the installation manuals myself and not trust that trades men know everything!!! I feel like celebrating!!

These are the tile samples I have so far. On the left - small top dark grey, under that is a tile with faux stepped marble effect tiles that are more slate toned. Large tile to the right is the mandarin stone one (v expensive, lol) The walnut in the middle I love the pattern but it’s not as rich a colour as I wanted and I can’t find anything else online in an American walnut style tile. The bottom tile is a v v pale grey with similar pattern to the mandarin stone one. How would you work these tiles together? Walnut floor and sink unit and dark grey all over the walls? Just the patterned grey on the back of the shower wall and sink area and plain grey on other walls?? :0/

Just wondering whether it would look sleeker and larger with your Hex grey on the floor and your feature wall. It simplifies the look cutting down to just two different tiles. The hex grey will still look nice with the slate tray and the black shower surround. I'm not sure if it was an error, but you mention hex grey on the shower wall and the links you give are for black, sand and white. This is the grey Cement grey that can go on the floor and the wall, with the white everywhere else.

Thanks for responding Sarah. i don't think the grey would go with the beige. Considered painting tiles too.. but was suggested to add a white console and do something with floor. for starters

We installed glass in one of our other houses, look great and so easily maintained. However you can also use acrylic panels at a fraction of the price of glass. Wickes do a good range of pre-cut ready to use kits wickes shower panels
