Size of murphy bed panel?

How big is the panel for the murphy bed? Is it one piece or is it multiple cabinet faces strapped together? Thanks!

Hi Emily, it was made as one piece of high gloss lacquer. There is a frame around the perimeter of the mattress that reinforces it as well. I hope this helps.

Could you share your cabinetry vendor? We're trying to do a similar design and have talked to 4 different cabinetry vendors but all have said that doing one panel of this size is not possible. Thanks!

Can anyone suggest a way I can make upholstered panel inserts, just for the uppermost sections of the foot and head end of my bed bed. First image is the inspiration bed *it has larger panels than I am hoping for. I want to cover with a nice fabric and somehow 'sit' them in there, so they dont fall out! The bed is superking size, so rather wide. Any ideas how I could go about it, or should I get a professional to make?

I think you could do a two flanking a giant one to pick out the furniture, maybe like this: Uses the first three colour tests on the wall and some antiqued mirror infill for the sides, you could even incorporate LED strip lighting into the panel Beeding to breath a gentle mood light onto the wall and mirrors? The light switch could be easily dealt with, if you're laying panelling onto the wall just make sure its about the same thickness as the switch and its cut to fit flush around it, you can then paint the fitting to match, leave as is or change it to a stylish one to match the room.

You have such a great space! It depends what kind of style you like, but the current modern trend for many of our projects is to use a full width slightly protruding headboard which is 600mm higher than the top of the matters height. Behind this a warm 3000K LED strip light is installed to light up the wall above with an indirect light. the picture below is a good precedent. www.dorarch.com
