Glass wall/ideas for converted garage needed!

We're converting our garage into a playroom and having a window put in place of the garage door but the other end will back on to the utility room. I really don't want a dark room so was wondering how I can let more light in. I'm not sure if a glass wall (with a door in it) would be possible and how safe/strong it would be with 3 kids using the room a lot. Other possibilities are a wall made up of those glass blocks but I'm not sure if they're out dated?! I guess we could put an internal window in but that might look odd. What do people think? Any suggestions?

Hi One Plan, things have moved on since this last post...dont know if you recall you helped to put me in touch with a builder who was commenting on my dilemma who happenend to be based in the NE England? Need help converting a garage to utility room with very little money

Had old kitchen and utility appliances refitted in our garage. Breakfast bar made from left over bench top and spare unit end panel. This freed up new units fitted to our small kitchen and gave double storage space. Our walls single brick too so painted with masonry paint to seal them. Spruced up with off cut Lino and carpeting and a pair of colourful bar stools and window blind. Ask around friends/family and local kitchen fitters for recently removed kitchens, offer to collect saving the cost of on site skips. Scan local sites for second hand kitchens too as some often include preowned appliances too. After all it is just re-cycling and any decent kitchen fitter will refit in a day or two, Good Luck

Hi Just Add Popcorn Limited. That is such a great idea. We like that you break up the space into both storage and entertainment. Garageflex - That is also very true, storage space is very valuable, especially in newer homes that are being converted substantially. In this case, a combination space sounds like it could be the best of both worlds for some homeowners!
