1930's Bathroom Renovation

Hi,

So as you probably know from my previous posts we are very slowly updating our 1930's semi. We have now been able to finally get round to renovating the bathroom! We have tried to make nods to the era with the floor tiles, wall tiles, and sink which I love. I know some will shoot us for taking out the original bath, but we couldn't afford to have it re-enamelled! Anyway, let me know your thoughts.

Lovely transformation but what is it you'll be washing in the bathroom that needs a basin that size?

Always worth checking with Lasscos, if they don't have any then they may be able to suggest where you can get some, and who may be able to restore the ones you have. They have a few locations so worth going and having a look or at least giving them a call. They will also probably have some other 30s bathroom fixtures. Hi, Your room looks massively better stripped back to the original. I've got a black marble hearth that the people who bought my old house didn't want. If you're near Canterbury you're welcome to it. I'm going to South Manchester soon so cold possibly drop it off if you're en route. I'll see if I can get a photo later.

Hi. Only need 1 bedroom and 1 multi-use room (study/extra storage/sofa bed for guests). No plans for stairs - we're heading for retirement and thinking about the future. Have thought about a small extension. Would be good to get everything done for under 50k (need some repairs and new windows that will take about 20 of that I'm guessing). Would stretch the budget if an extension gave us a layout that really works for us.

I'm glad you like the transformation. Truth is I have a really big rectangular face so it's the perfect size for me!
