Curtains or blinds for these windows?

We want to make changes at home, and we love our windows - but don't know what to so with them. Curtains from the ceiling or new blinds etc.? Advice welcome!

I think long curtains would look great and accentuate the fantastic windows.

As much as I love Roman blinds I think simple long curtains on an elegant curtain pole would enhance these beautiful windows.

It is important to think about the actual space you are decorating the room looks relatively cosy so warm colours (reds, oranges etc) will bring it in more yes it will make it cosy but may start to make it feel too compact !!! Cooler colours will help to push the room out but predominantly they can look cold and are used a lot in bathrooms to help maximise the space I suggest something like amonite by farrow and ball

Hello. I'm not sure if I am in right place but I just didn't find a topic about DYI windows blinds so maybe it would be useful not only for me. I and my wife after a year finally finished our home rework. Of course, there still is a lot of work to do, but at least now we can live there :huray: . The first thing that annoys us a lot is disturbing morning sun. We can't get enough sleep, because of it. So we started looking for windows blinds. So far we decided that we want roller blinds. But after long research, we find out that there is an option to get customized blinds and even create our own. So now there is a question, is anyone has tried it, or something similar and maybe could share their thoughts about quality and is it even worth it?

Hi. What a gorgeous house :) Given you are starting from scratch, have you considered hiring an interior designer? Preferably one whom passes on their trade discounts which will negate the design fees :) if not, i assume you're after a modern country style? What colours do you like? Do you have a photo of the table and chairs? I can't see any rattan chairs if I'm on the right website :) Also what kind of budget do you have for furnishing the 3 rooms? Do you have a photo of the main bedroom and do you have a floor plan with measurements? The kitchen is beautiful. It doesn't look dark in the photos, I would personally live with it for a few months and see how you feel. If it is dark, it may be the worktop. What's behind the range oven? Maybe you could have an antiqued mirror splashback to bounce some light? Do you also know the head height over the island as the ceiling there looks a little low for pendants but it may be the photo

So would you have white very thin curtains, almost see-through, or would you go heavy white linen touching/folding on the floor?

I would go for a heavy linen type material.
