Bedroom wall art ideas

Just moved into a new flat. My bedroom is pretty much finished except one white wall which I've left bare for art. I'm an amateur photographer and would love to display b/w photos. Only thing is I can't put holes in the walls, as it's rented. The colours in my room are white, beige, grey and some bits of black. I also have natural wood furniture, mainly birch. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I've generally found theres no truly successful no nail solutions to this problem. You almost always end up with some discolouration from whichever product is used be it tape, blu-tack or peel-off vinyl.

My solution has always been to use small nails to hang things (obviously nothing too heavy). Then when I remove the nail at the end of the tenancy I fill the hole with a tiny bit of rolled up tissue. Just tear off a small corner of tissue and roll between your finger and thumb - creating a thinner 'point' to plug the hole. Cut off any excess sticking out. Finally use a white grouting pen to just dab over it. The end result is completely invisible - particularly because you're literally just looking for a pin-prick on a large white wall.

Never had any landlords notice it so while it might sound a bit odd I promise it does work!

Look into Command Picture hanging hooks/strips (not entirely sure what they're called).

Hi! If you haven't solved your dilemma yet, have you thought of a Wall mural? Wallsauce have a huge range of wall murals, including photography and each image is available in b&w. It looks great, I'm glad you and your daughter are so pleased and she has lots of room for friends over, playing etc. It can also be easily and cheaply adapted as she grows if she wants. My only criticism (if you can call it that) is that if not already your daughter may soon also want the desk to double up as a dressing table and therefore I think a mirror was a good idea but the memo board (which looks great) can always be moved as and when needed. (I thought i'd posted a comment on that previously but obviously not!). I might also add a desk light there for working during winter months. So which room next?!

Hi,

Why don't you just get some blue tack and use it for your wall prints? It's so easy to make use of and is durable if you use it the right way.
