Un idea of the price

Hello My husband and I are intended to add a glazed area to the back of our property. We would appreciated if you can help us giving us an idea of the price to this project. We have a basic design and we can send it you eventually. But just to give you an idea we are looking for a glazed area over the roof and for the front sliding fording doors with minimal frames. The size is about 5.60 meters x 2.70 meters. We hope you don't mind if we ask also how long it will take to build it. Many, many thank for your help.

Hi Anna, thanks for you question.

If you were to create a glazed extension using a glass roof and slim framed sliding doors to one elevation (assuming the other walls of the extension were a solid structure) it would typically cost around £2500 per m2 of floor area for the glazing.

Nice building,this conservatory should be made with high perfromance low-E coated Insulated glass,right?

Do you make insulated glass by yourselves or not？

I know that you make glass railings,but never thought that you also supply glass conservatories.

Hi Alecia. You could buy the latest in string lighting - White Lightbulbs! They're for in and outdoors and in multicoloured bulbs too. If you bought 3 or 4 you'd have a similar look for a fraction of the price. 'MY-NEWLIFE' on ebay UK has some, and for about £100 you can get 100 on a string from the US. Good Luck.

I agree with Jonathan, these things don't really add value, they just make a house potentially easier to sell, as opposed to increasing the price someone will pay. They're probably just less likely to knock you down on your asking price. Our Warwickshire office took part in anITV programme hosted by Linda Barker about adding value to your home and the results of the valuations before and after were quite suprising in some cases! We've since found that despite property prices in neighbouring Gloucestershire being already high, adding a well made, oak framed outbuilding really does make a difference to the value of the home. People love having somewhere to park their expensive cars!

Hi Han. Yes all our insulated glass has a low e coating with an argon gas filling as standard. This will provide a glass unit with Ug value of 1.0-1.1 W/m2K. We work on all areas of architectural glazing including glass extensions.
