These are Marvin aluminum clad windows. I wish I had more information on this home but it was before we have our computer system. I hope this helps.

They are Kolbe Windows: Heritage Series (Sterling), clad with wood interior, double hung.

I love soft blues and greens going towards the grey unsaturated type colours with red brick. If the red is more towards an orange then the greens work better and if more towards the pink/purple then blues look great. I'm getting so bored of dark grey doors and windows! Be brave and use some colour!

I have never seen this style of aperture and wonder if it is original or perhaps outside the U.K. However since you have already cleared a lot of ground in front and therefore it will be visible from the street I would say swap the windows for something that compliments the rest of the house. If you intend to convert the cellar you will likely need a window you can escape from. You also have security considerations.

I think long curtains would be lovely. What an elegant room. A metal rail would be good, forget about those ghastly plastic ones that eventually break. I had a simple white metal rail fitted in my bay window. I actually bought it in a high quality curtain shop and they fitted it for me. Cost £200 for rail, fitting and open/close cords - rail is 12’ long. There are a huge array of fabrics on the market but I love a linen mix, hangs beautifully. You could go plain in a colour similar to your walls, or a pattern. It depends what else is in the room as to how patterned you go! Do you like florals, or geometric?
