Hello! This room is really small and since you use it for storage/office I would not advise you to go too brave with colours as they might make the room look and feel smaller. I know it might sound dull but I@d advise you to use white all over and either have mirrored doors covering the shelves you have there or a mirrored wall right in front of the desk, that will definitely make the room look bigger. Also, use plants because they add freshness as well as colour to the room and they're very relaxing. Most people don't realise that color can be added in many different ways not only on walls...sometimes the details can't be more striking such as a white room with a mirrored wall and a really striking office chair - orange, green, etc - plants, flowers, artwork, all can used to make a room colourful. You can also buy colorful boxes and put all your dvds, cds, books in them which will make the room look tidy and neater and add style and color. See some examples below: Hope that helps! @Joanna Biddolph The random pouffes lol.... are all there because the house is a building site. The left one came with my suite even though didnt want it but it has storage, the middle chair is my sons that I re-upholstered for him and since building his bedroom right now, theres no-where for it, and the right one I bought for £5 YEARS ago and re-covered it... Classic G-Plan. Theyre all going and will make just one simple one (based on the left one) . @celerygirl I cant say I am a massive fan of overhead storage, and we dont need that much, although your last image looks cosy and love the red/white contrast. All mean either replacing or painting the bedsides too. The back and right walls are kind of stud, theyre drywall over 400mm thick solid external walls, 2x1" frame with foam board insulation and plasterboard. Theyre not very good. This room was full of damp due to leaky plumbing and bathroom at the end. All the pipes run around the bottom by the floor inside these walls all around the right hand side and back wall. Although the damp has gone and the fresh paint has held for a year, the plumbing is being re-done throughout the house, and its likely to mean a radiator will be going on the left side, backing onto relocated bathroom, OR a tall slim one to the right, next to the window, fed by pipes from above. Ive removed several dry-walls in this house, so building a framework, boarding and plastering is not really scary any more, nor is putting power and lights in whether its drywall or solid - the solid walls are preferable to channel because the finish is better and easier than channeling plasterboard tbh. You see I got impatient and bought carpet, this being the ONLY carpet in the house, the rest being buggered parquet or concrete with bits of underlay in places, its because the dimensions of the floor may change if I take drywall out, and a door for the en-suite to be cut, that I cant even lay this one floor right for now, and left it oversized. Project houses for you.... sufficed to say, dust is the last on my list of worries

Hi Shahzaib As a designer I always find it works really well if you can create 2 circuits in the bathroom, one for low level lighting and one for main lighting. As you can see in the first picture below we used Altea Mini uplighters to create the effect for uplighting and floor washing which offers ambient and indirect lighting if you want that candlelight experience. For overhead lighting we would usually opt for downlighters in the form of the Atlas or the Eiger as both are IP44 rated for the bathroom and offer a baffled anti glare light. If you have the opportunity, niche lighting also works for background lighting, please see the second image in which we used the Selene niche led. I hope this helps but i wish you like with your project.

Trina, you asked "The front windows measuring from the sill are 75cm above the ground. Is this sufficient height for lower kitchen units? " Depending on the kitchen manufacturer, you can get lower units which will sit the worktop at around 75cm, though this is too low to use as "prep space" or to have a hob. But it can be done. We have in the past done worktops that sit a little higher than window level, and have left a smaller "shelf" at window level next to the window into which pots or small troughs for kitchen herbs were put, which can be a useful way to tackle this challenge.
