Need help with small study

I have a very small study and as I work from home need a compact desk and chair. The room will eventually become the baby's room. Also would a wooden or glass topped desk make room look more spacious?

I have glass topped table as my desk, but it's not nice on the arms. And it's always dirty. So I would advise you to go for a wooden one.

Another update - I managed to get it painted by the time hubby got home, but haven't put anything back yet. He was really chuffed. Thanks for all the suggestions and help so far. I decided to go with white. The grey colours just seemed to suck away the light when on the wall and I felt I either had to embrace the darkness or go whiteish. Decided to slow down and take my time choosing by chair and accessories, but will hopefully have another update once we've got stuff back in and bought some bits and bobs.Thinking of shades of green if there are any more suggestions. Also going to see if our local handyman / carpenter can quote for some shelves / doors to hide some of the clutter we will inevitably have to put back. Also hunting for a table lamp, magazine files / storage boxes, maybe some fake plants (no light!) and something to put the phone on or next to that will hide all those wires.

How can I furnish and decorate this space so that functions and look good? I just moved into this small place; starting over . This is suppose to be the living / dining room. My child's bed and the refrigerator have to be there too. Need to have place to store and access books. Studying must also take place here. Place for storage, such as closet, selves and cupboards are also limited in the entire place. It's a rental place so I cannot paint. I do like the colour though. The room size is 14 ft X 14 ft . Your ideas will be appreciated

We did love some of the suggestions above… but stuck with our original plan! Although we did change the kitchen layout from U-shaped to ”farmhouse” style, with the table in the middle and sink under the window overlooking the garden. The old dining room has become an office with two desks - partly due to COVID and the need to work from home and homeschool etc! We have also moved a lot of the children’s toy storage in here although they still bring things into the main lounge to play where there’s more room. At 8 and 5, they also actually now keep and play with a lot of toys in their rooms, so I think the old dining room will remain as more of a computer and homework room - it’s nice being able to shut the door! The ”study” on the plan is very much a workshop/gym/play room for my husband! We didnt want to sacrifice that space. It might turn into a teenage den later on perhaps, or even a downstairs bedroom for my Nan. The small upstairs bedroom has become a second office as I’m also still working from home (and my husband has too many meetings downstairs!). It houses our sofa bed too so acts as a spare room and my space to do yoga and sewing. Overall, we are pleased with how everything turned out. We quite like the option to have space away from each other and the flexibility to change the use of the different rooms. We do all spend a lot time together in either the kitchen or main lounge as plenty of space in both.

If you go to the photo section here on Houzz and type small study in the search box, loads of examples for you to get inspiration from.
If you want to the point ideas, we need more information about the room's dimensions and layout and about your requirements for the desk and storage.

How do you find out where to get the products? There never seems to be a reference?

Sometimes there is. If you tap on the photo it will enlarge and a more info sign will appear in the bottom corner. Tap on that and sometimes there is more information about used products and colours. You can also ask questions, but not every designer answers them.
But you can at least see the photos as a source of inspiration.
