what colour has been used in this design please ?
it is lovely - not too sure if it would work in my home but i need to investigate

The world is literally your oyster -- you could go for any colour you like! Don't be afraid of strong colours. But one way to take away some of the "whiteness" without going the whole hog is to have the splashback area under the cupboards a stronger colour. That could be either a glass splashback (which you should consider at least behind the cooker), or hard-wearing paint. You could use a stronger colour below the cupboards, and a lighter version on the bigger walls. We used a strong blue here; the under-cupboard lighting made it look a bit lighter:

Aw Minnie. If you mean my room is lovely, I am touched. There is a lot wrong with it and the tiles are the biggest mistake I think. Anyway, I have tried to see red and neither me nor my colour blind hubby can sett it tbh. The paint was colour matched to the background of the wallpaper and is used throughout the flat. It definitely shows as a lilac tinge in some rooms, so maybe this is the the purple colour some people are seeing too. This cushion I have stolen from my bedroom works well with the room, I have 2 of these. The cushions on the sofa are definitely not right for sure. Your second pic is just gorgeous. It looks dark navy in tone to me. I am viewing on my laptop. The cushion is stunning. Also the comment and suggestion of Sonia's (which follows yours), looks worth a look. This does definitely have a green, blue, grey tone pic looks stunning. I really do think it does tie all the colours together. Something I did not think would happen in my lifetime. I am thrilled to see just what others are noticing and all are taken on board and considered. To think that people have taken the time to even bother to get in touch is heartwarming. The stone looks to be quite neutral which is probably good (some stone such as the type found in the Cotswolds can be very strongly coloured). If the room doesn't get a lot of natural light then I would personally avoid neutrals that may be a bit too cool or a bit too grey as it may look drab. Shaded White is lovely and could work really well with the beams. That would be my starting point. I would test paint of large sheets of paper and pin them up in the corners. Put them next to pure white paper too to see the colour. If you whitewash the walls first, then you can gauge how much light it gets and if it looks cold.

I also think it looks like Stiffkey blue - it’s lovely. I’m also a big fan of a similar colour called Breton Blue - it’s a Dulux colour that used to be in their Timeless Classics range (not sure if that exists anymore), but is available to be mixed in their trade paints from a Dulux centre.
