Room for a bath?

Hi, we are in the process of buying a house which has a shower room only but no bath. We have a toddler so really need a bath!

The dimension are 1.8 by 1.6, I have attached a pic. Would installing a new suite with a bath be a feasible option? Thanks

I've done a plan with some guessing as to size of door etc but I think you could just about do it

The toilet was going to stay in the current position. Bath along the back wall and a basin maybe on the right hand wall. I'm just struggling for ideas and don't want to start the first fix plumbing until I'm entirely sure on layout Thank you for your response :)

One needn't necessarily "compromise" between bath and shower here; they're not entirely trivial to find but a small number of manufacturers make _square_ (or at least, near-square / wide) shaped bathtubs (Japanese soaking tub style) at about 120cm width. I've found: https://www.livinghouse.co.uk/acatalog/square-lounge-bath.html https://www.omnitub.co.uk/products/omnitub-duo-plus Such make a very luxurious bath (if money's no object, even a whirlpool / steam shower setting) while also providing more than ample space for great showering. Yes, you'd probably need to have some small steps built to enter the bath. And a concern would only be whether the floor is strong enough (when used as a bath, it makes a difference whether there's 300l or 150l water in the tub). Diagonally-installed corner baths may also be an option (quite a bit cheaper), something like: https://victoriaplum.com/product/orchard-wharfe-corner-bath-1200-x-1200 which would also allow a better shower experience than a 70cm-wide standard bath. Not as deep as a soaking tub / wouldn't need steps. If going for something like that, I would actually "box-off" the corner and turn it into shelving for storage, so the bath turns into a bit of an "enclosed niche", something like: I wouldn't go for a freestanding bathtub; the narrow spaces would make it challenging to clean.

I'm hoping Susan doesn't mind me sketching over the top of her illustration but if you were able to reverse the way the door swings then you would buy yourself more space for both a full size bath/shower combo and still fit in the toilet and basin.

If you rip everything out and start again you will fit a full length bath along the 1.8m wall. To accommodate everything else it may be worth looking at a 700mm wide bath (baths are also commonly found as 750mm and 800 wide). Most manufacturers that also make wc's a shade smaller for compact spaces- look for options advertised as space savers.
I think you have room for a full sized basin as per Lauren's plan but if you wanted a big vanity you could opt for a 1600mm long bath and and put it on the shorter wall.
