Comments (10)For the seating as it is a kitchen and the seat is close to the sink, I would suggest a cushion upholstered with a good quality vinyl. Ambla have a fantastic range of vinyls, you can down load their patterns here: http://www.ambla.com/ . Way back when I was in the UK my dad and I used to use their vinyls as wallcoverings along with Suwide, Ambla has a good range. Comments (14)Hi all, sorry to resurface an older post but if anyone has any more pictures of a kitchen window without a sill, could you please share those? I think it would be much more convenient, easier to clean and give us more space but my other half is not convinced. His main concerned is that the window area will get "flooded" with water and will look odd/unfinished. For those of you who have that configuration, is that an issue you faced? Comments (13)Hi Leo & Grace, so really you’re wondering how to improve the view out of the new window? I think a planter or pot, as Carolina has suggested, with a plant in it would do the trick. There is an evergreen climber called Trachelospermum jasminoides (Star Jasmine) which has small glossy leaves and fragrant flowers all summer long. It’s flat and slim so won’t block the path. They need some sun. Bamboo is another evergreen rustling grass that could do the job too. 6 years agoWe are still mid renovation but here’s what we ended up doing with the window-it’s my family’s favorite part of the kitchen. Custom black framed window from milgard. We were planning on having a steel grid made after install but like it open so much that we don’t plan on doing that now. The rest of our house has white framed windows with colonial style grids throughout (HOA required).
