Comments (26)I predict there will be a continued appetite for pale/ white interiors which will fuel innovative ways of delivering this with more finishes and layered whites for interest. I think kitchen cabinets will stay pale but be available in silk or two textured finishes as they move away from gloss and lacquered finishes. Available woods will become paler and more Nordic. I think we will see more textured wall finishes such as wall panels and I think lighting will become more sophisticated allowing us to select warm or cool white from our lighting sources depending on outside light levels and time of day. I think the new metal will be burnished brass and available in kitchen handles, light switches and accessories. I predict a warm summer and inevitably greater spend on outside living with French chic plates and glasswear and more solutions to keep us in the garden with increased choices of patio heaters and soft lighting to enjoy lazy summer evenings and cooler mornings. Let's check in a years time and see if anything came true? I hope so. switches and accessories....See MoreWin A Kindle Fire 7! Just Select Your Favourite Picture

Comments (57)I have to say my whole garden is finally looking good at the moment! We had to have a trench dug across it last year for the new drains for the kitchen, plus we've had trees taken down, new patios laid, beds made and a whole bed of ground elder laid fallow and covered for over a year. Consequently, since Easter, we have been "doing" the garden - well I say we, it's actually the OH doing all the grunt work, digging, planting and re-planting (oops), with me in a purely managerial capacity and doing a bit of dead heading. This is what it was like in 2017 And last year...See MoreSome virtual property fun
Comments (7)Ooh it's a good idea I've got loads of money to spend on it Carolina 😂🤑 It'd be about making the most of the views for me whilst keeping it cosy for those cold days/nights. I'd look to try and change the single window at the front upstairs to double doors opening onto a (glass frame?) balcony to enjoy an early morning coffee in my dressing gown. I'd also see how to make the best use of the front porch as another place to sit and then an extension to the back ( poss 2 storey to make a proper 2nd bedroom with a decent window ) for a slightly larger kitchen/dining space. Not too big, just open it out to the Welsh open air! Although those stairs are quaint I'd def box them in because I've got open tread stairs now and they're a nightmare for muck harbouring! I really need you, Jonathan, Rinq et al on this for me don't I? 😅...See More- 11 years ago
