Stacking different Miele models?

We are in the process of selecting our appliances for a kitchen remodel, and as things happen, our 'mid-level' budget has quickly blown up! For example, we went from a $4-5k budget for the fridge to deciding to 'invest' in a SZ 42". lol
Our dilemma is this: we went from a rangetop and double oven to deciding on a range -- the Bluestar 36" RNB -- mostly because we liked the idea of having one gas and one electric oven, as well as a full size (e.g. Full cookie sheet sized) oven and then perhaps a smaller oven that we would use more often, for faster warmup especially when we have just one maybe two dishes.
Painfully long and drawn out research process short, we have ended up looking at the Miele 24" speed oven AND Miele 24 steam oven. We are thinking about getting the M touch line steam oven for a handful of reasons (master chef options particularly bc of the newness of cooking w steam and combi options; plumbed water line and drain) but for the speed oven, we really only need this mostly for the microwave (popcorn) and maybe when we need to make tots/fries for the kids (though arguably that can be done w the steam oven), so we are thinking about just getting the direct select model.
Question is: would stacking the direct select Miele and the m touch be a faux pas? The customer support person at Miele didn't think so, the mgr at the experience center at Miele Chicago thought possibly not though suggested maybe upgrading the speed oven to the mid line for the clean screen look, and then our Abt rep was the most hesitant given the two looks.
I have leaned so heavily on this forum for advice and suggestions (other posts -- this is my first!) and thought I'd see what the empassioned folks here might think...

Incidentally, the Miele customer rep sent me a photo of a stacked direct select and m touch, though they're both steam ovens w diff handles and I would want to stack the direct select on top... (higher microwave)

Comments (40)Thanks tamp75. It turns out the painter is only doing a white mist coat today & is returning later in the week so I have time to buy even more testers. LOL. He said I can paint the testers on the walls in the extension which should help as it is west facing whereas the playroom that I tested them on is east facing. We were originally going to go with Cornforth White kitchen cabinets but DIY's standard light grey was a lovely colour (&,cheaper!) so we went with that. Comments (31)I prefer the rectangular island as in your last posting, but would move the ovens to the left, giving two full doors to the right alongside the door into the room. I fully agree with all the comments regarding accessible worktop for placement of hot items straight from the oven, you do not want the ovens directly opposite the hob. Comments (35)Ive had two Bora Basics so far. Both times when purchasing ive looked at the competition and other options. If im honest the Bora represents value for money compared to those other options. Especially if you dont want an extractor in your eyeline over your island/peninsula, or a flush mounted ceiling extractor. A decent induction hob + the costs assassociated with buying and fitting a flush ceiling extractor will be at least as expensive as the Bora Pure. The fact it’s a beautiful looking bit of kit is just a bonus!! PS im now looking at my third Bora (due to a flood) and for me its still the best option. Comments (20)Hi Pam, we went for the Berbel Downline Performance Permalyt on the extremely strong recommendation of our kitchen company owner who is a friend of a friend and been in the kitchen business for decades. They offer a highly bespoke and friendly kitchen design and advisory service. They were fantastic to deal with and use the same Berbel in their own homes and demo'd it for us in their workshop. We were concerned about whether to externally vent or not and they talked us out of doing so as simply not necessary. That's a big call for an expensive extension and kitchen but we went with their advice. The Permalyt vent mechanism does take up room directly under the hob, so make sure your design accommodates for it, if you go for it. Their kitchen fitter told us that you can cook a fish on the hob and then smell the recirculated air coming out of the bottom vent and you cannot smell anything. If that really is the case then it is truly remarkable. We will find out in a few months time. They told us about how it filters out oil and cleans using the Permalyt technology; how easy it is to clean and maintain etc. Can't help you with Bora other than to say they never got a look-in as a result of the steer we were given. The Berbel Permalyt does need to be fitted by an expert though, apparently. Also, order early is what we were told and don't forget that European factories shut down in August!
