Finishing touches for our new living room
Comments (17)Hi there, I'm wondering how you're getting on?!! How about a Bali pod by the sofa arm with the throw on? You could have a bespoke piece to add interest and colour ....and also allow you to sit comfortably in the sofa with a drink close by (rather than having to reach to the coffee table every time you want a sip!). This is the sort of thing I'm thinking.....our pods come in 7 shapes, 5 core fabrics and loads of colours ...or you can use your own fabric, so you can make quite a personalised statement!! I've attached a link to an example of a swatch which would go with your scheme...Good luck with all your plans! http://mellowduck.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/SandringhamCamel600x600-138x138.jpg...See MoreRoom transformfed into a cosy warm space with wooden blind replacement

Comments (46)I totally agree with Maths Wife. It's a lovely room, but when I look at the pictures I see the TV first. When you are not watching it, it might feel a bit strange facing a wall with just a black glass rectangle there. Solid black next to anything pale creates such a strong contrast that it dominates visually, this is why people sometimes paint a TV wall a dark colour, it then recedes. Another ploy is to make the TV part of a gallery wall so that there are other things to relate it to. I like the image above showing a long wide unit with a lamp, mirror etc. Compare the above images with the TV with the last one without and you can see how black dominates....See Morehelp with finishing touches to kitchen/living area
Comments (8)Thanks for that! In terms of the chair I think it needs to be more of a chunkier look like the one below. Any other ideas? Yes there is a socket at the bottom of the blank wall. For the coffee table - we were thinking to keep it dark as well but worried it will look too much with the charcoal rug. Do you think walnut would work - few images attached of the sort of style we are going for. Anymore ideas would be much appreciated!...See MoreCarolina
