Little Greene have launch it's new London Wallpaper IV collection.

There are 12 designs in total, spanning three centuries of British design, the original patterns can be dated back to the years between 1760 and 1950. Mostly manufactured in London to decorate smart city and country homes, each design has its own compelling provenance tracing it back to the original house in which it was discovered.

The funny thing is that nothing dates faster than the latest trends! Whether it's the recent vogue for Pistachio green, Orange, or neutral greys or taupe colours or trendy wallpapers, such as the ubiqitous 'Woods'. Paint is the safest and easiest option for those without confidence or design knowledge. Paint does bring out the architectural quality and details (that why until recently architects have rejected them on the whole). But I really disagree with those that say paint lasts longer than papers. Of course it depends on if it's used in high traffic areas but wallpapers in some houses have lasted well over a century! A choice of wallpaper show a certain statement of confidence and with current Site specific, carefully designed Digital papers or Artisan designed, hand crafted or printed wallpaper you are installing a work of art to be enjoyed for a considerable time.

I would recommend white painted walls. Add accessories that are colorful if you wish. You can change it anytime you want. Depending on the space, I would definitely add something like raw thick tree branch. You can then make some fairy doors on it in color. Interaction with a child making these doors :) I would also choose funky prints of animals over the decals. Or have some animal heads hung on the walls. Children loves cozy spaces canopy is the thin. I would recommend Numero 74. I love their range of colors and quality. Add some cool pillows. If you are into diy, make some. Paint on it, embroider, use different techniques to apply color and texture to the room. Have more than one lighting source: fairylights, floor lamp, etc. If you want something really cool: cover ceiling in polka dots. Don't paint it. You can cut out some cardpaper circles and stick it with blutack. Use different sizes one color rather than having different colors. Take it off when tired of it easily. It looks great, I'm glad you and your daughter are so pleased and she has lots of room for friends over, playing etc. It can also be easily and cheaply adapted as she grows if she wants. My only criticism (if you can call it that) is that if not already your daughter may soon also want the desk to double up as a dressing table and therefore I think a mirror was a good idea but the memo board (which looks great) can always be moved as and when needed. (I thought i'd posted a comment on that previously but obviously not!). I might also add a desk light there for working during winter months. So which room next?!

Hello @The Picture House. Thank you! Just to touch on your point, I don't agree at all really. I think most people want to envision the property with themselves living in it, how they want to see the home. When I talked about what I look for, it was from a personal viewpoint. I don't need to see anything added to see if the place is worth something. (Not financial) I'm talking structural and aesthetics. The "bones" of the place, if you like. Also potential has nothing to do with clean, tidy, or adding a few objects, just reading your pointers. Potential isn't styling, it has to do with architectural details and the capacity for renovation or restructuring. If that is what is sought. For that you need an eye for these details and there are a lot of people who are very clued up and interested in this area. Talking from experience that is. I think the problem with selling, is knowing your market and who you're selling to. Knowing your property and how to market it (at the time) to its fullest potential. Marketing your property for who you want to sell it to. So whoever it is can see what they can add- if at all! However, what a client is looking for from their purchase will largely dictate the type of property they seek. Interestingly some "interior designed" property renovated for sale are some of the worst examples of boring,bland and unimaginative. I would argue the use of the term "Interior designed" It comes down to style and taste which is diverse and individual. Displaying the architectural elements to their fullest. In short, it takes..
