Hello. Would you be able to provide the colour of the external window trim and the colour of the windows? This is a beautiful cottage!

Good morning Sylvia. We used a dark slate Cabot stain on this project. Another beautiful stain is Cabot Dark Slate.

We'd lived on the outskirts of a City most of our working lives but upped sticks and moved to the Countryside. We now live in an AONB, and its fabulous but...despite the pollution, crime and noise there are times, particularly in the depths of winter, when it's dark from 4pm until 8am, when we do miss the urban life. This lasts about 30 seconds then we realise how blessed we are. The Countryside is best.

hi Hannah, it is quite easy to get an understanding of the risk of flooding on the river by looking at the environment agencies flood map. it is something that is carried out in land searches as part of the conveyancing process. if you contact them you can get a look at historical and predicted flood data. it may also be worth asking what their house insurance costs are as this will provide you with an idea of the costs of insuring close to the water. insurers are adept at increasing premiums for low level risk. best Rowland
