Serious window dressing dilemma
Comments (11)Thanks for commenting and we had thought about blinds but because people are passing close by on a regular basis roller blinds and conservatory blinds would not be an option because they would not give enough privacy. Would Venetian blinds make the whole look a bit office like?...See MoreBay Window Blinds Dilemma!
Comments (4)Hi Sarah, I think you have two main options: Most Expensive Option: I would propose to rebuild the soffit, so that the same distance at the front, follows on the sides. This will need re-plastering and some 12-18mm ply under the plasterboard, so that there is something to fix the new blinds to. I think this would be the prettiest option and then it will free you up to do whatever you want there. (If you were to do this, I would also add some insulation into the void, as the crumbling paint looks like you have a cold bridge). Cheapest Option: Find blinds that you can fix directly to the window. Try to find ones that are glued on rather than hard fixed to the window as you don't want to damage the windows. Wayfair.co.uk do some, light, low cost face glued ones. I hope this helped you! Good Luck!...See MoreWindow dressing dilemma - have I have a mistake?
Comments (12)I love your paint colour. It has a green tinge, at least on my screen. I think white painted wooden blinds would look lovely. There are lots of whites you can choose, just don’t go too near cream as i think it can look a bit nicotine stained! Adding more accessories such as art, mirror, cushions and throw, will help cosy it up a bit too. You could add another colour in the accessories too, such as blush pink, or yellow. What colour are the grey walls? Lovely bathroom too....See MoreBest way to layout small utility room - window placement dilemma!
Comments (20)The only other thing I would say is don’t totally rule out the corner cabinet idea if you can afford the type of internal pull and slide fittings that allow you to easily access everything inside. I seem to remember that they were ridiculously expensive but I could be wrong. Only you know much you need to store and how much space you’ve got in your kitchen....See MoreUser
