Tile advice please

Hello Houzzer tile experts, we're about to tile our ensuite in white tiles with random splashes of 100x100 colour tiles in blue and yellow (attached). However, firstly, the white tile is ceramic whereas the coloured tiles are glass. And secondly, the white tile is 6.3mm thick whereas the coloured glass tile is 6mm. Will either of these points (ie mixing ceramic and glass and different tile depths) look strange/wrong? Thank you!

Sanitary ware. I'm having a crisis of decision making. I bought a new sink and vanity from IKEA: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/washstands-taps/wash-stands/fullen-t%C3%A4lleviken-wash-basin-cabinet-white-spr-39891444/ However, it's occurred to me since that it'll take up too much of the room/floorspace, especially as the sink faces you as you walk in. I've been looking at other designs, and the wall-hung sink with a nicer-looking chrome waste could be a much better option. Added to this, if I'm tiling the floor, I'll probably need to buy a new loo, and IKEA doesn't do matching loos. Therefore...where can I buy a basic loo/basin package? What's the difference between a 'toilet and basin' and a 'cloakroom suite'? Should I go for one or two tap holes? Am I wasting my money? Should I just update the taps on the existing sink and tile-box in the waste?

Appleoz gorgeous kitchen, I think I am with Colour Happy here, a darker colour on that whole wall would ground that wall and you wouldn't need need any tiles. Paint is so much cheaper and easy to re touch as needed. I am over trying to keep the grout lines fresh and clean.. By the way I love your floor can you please share a source??

So many times I've come across articles which focus on design and ignore practicality. False walls and concealed pipe runs look great and but require absolute competence from the plumber to avoid leaks. Don't spend £1000's on decoration and £40 on cheap taps which will not last long. Spend money on getting the tanking done properly so that showers don't leak and if fitting a freestanding bath seal around the base so that water from splashes does not run under and drip onto the ceiling below. Just remember that every concealed joint on water carrying pipework is a potential leak and any repairs will ruin the lovely finish you have spent hours agonising over. Oh and don't forget to install a good water softener to keep everything limescale free or those nice new surfaces will soon look tired.
