We do have a Steptoe's up here not far from us but it's (dare I say it) wretched! Dark, not clean, badly organised. The one near you, though, AMAZING! We go down every year and take two big cars (we have a Picasso and our friends who live in Devon have a Forester), lol, fill them to the brim every year:) Last year we ended up shipping a lot of it back to Scotland as otherwise we wouldn't have got us, the luggage, and the Roo in to go home!

Good luck! Downstairs loos aren't very exciting. I would probably go for farrow and ball Hague blue all over as pictured and then add prints on the walls. My loo is very dark grey with lots of these animal prints. I think they were a fiver from achica and then black frames off of ebay for £2.50 or something.obviously you don't need to go for this style but maybe something a little quirky to add interest. I'd go for mid or dark grey in the bathroom with a lighter or off white wall but it depends on how dark you want to go. Darker can often look more expensive but mid grey with white walls will also look good.

Hi Rosie, I would start by getting rid of all the existing ornaments. I would then put two pictures in frames on the top two shelves. I would lean them back against the wall rather than use a stand. I would then add an ornament either side. Perhaps something glass or mirrored to create some light and interest. I would then buy a couple or lovely big log baskets and put them either side of the log burner make more of a feature of it. This will then draw the eye to the log burner rather than the fireplace. Hiya, bedroom combination casts are being used much more in living spaces giving a unique cosy feel and at the same time opening up the room space, I would definitely put a small hearth under the cast, usual materials used are granite or slate, and as suggested many places do made to measure hearths at very reasonable prices. Maybe try a feature wall paper to give the chimney a bit of character which would take away from you feeling its small, and as mentioned mirrors and pictures work great to, some pictures for you for inspiration.
