Edge to edge glass wall , or separate window
Comments (1)Hi Fabien, It will really depend on how you'll be using the doors. A six door set across the rear of the house will look great and will really open up your home to the outdoors in the summer. However, having a separate glass door may make life easier if this is your only access to the garden. If you do opt for the 6 door set of bi-folds, what configuration will you have? A 3+3 configuration will allow you to operate the two middle doors as French doors at the center, and will give symmetry when open fully. However, a 5+1 configuration will allow you to use the 1 door as an every day access door, so may be the more practical option if you need to have easy access to the garden frequently. We supply and manufacture aluminium bi-fold doors, so please get in touch if I can be of any further help or if you'd like some more advice. http://bit.ly/Origin-bifold-doors http://bit.ly/contact-origin Thanks, Robyn...See MoreGlass Walled Garage - is this a good idea? Comments (17)nasmijati, yes good point, the concept is to have the glazing on view from a secure garden for the home owners eyes only, from the other side this barn looks like a normal barn. We are considering ‘intelligence glass’ which switches from frosted to clear at the touch of a button. Most gardens are in darkness at night with the views from the house looking out over them. So we’re thinking wouldn’t this design be a great focal point illuminated at the end of the garden perhaps....See Moreangled glass wall mounted cooker hoods (recirculation)
Comments (3)We had a non branded one in our last house that had good reviews for being quiet and was inexpensive and that was a recirculating one. The filters were fairly easy to change but we did get a build up of grease at the top on the ceiling still and I don’t fry foods! Is there definately no way of venting it out? If not, just check the extraction rate for recirculating for that brand and see if they do special converters for it like the Neff hood I have do. Ie they do one called a clean air filter which is almost as effective as vented but costs over £400! Eek. Then of course the standard carbon filter....See MoreGlass brick wall
Comments (6)what Sonia says is good if that's what you have the budget for and you still want the light. if the lights not needed then a cheaper quick option to patch the wall up would be to plasterboard up the window and make it as though it was never there... ORRRR.. you could remove the window? and make it another walkway entrance to the kitchen area? if you take the kitchen door off too then there could just be a pillar bit in the middle...See MoreARC Bespoke Interiors
