I'm in California, where might I find these tiles. Who makes them and is there a website? Thanks

I know that the particular tiles in this bathroom were discontinued. I had bought the last inventory for this job.

I would check with a higher end or designer tile shop to see if there is a similar looking tile. This shop may not have a sample but would be able to get one if available.

If you read over a breakfast bar (sorry, no time to look properly) then you may want to be able to switch the light above that on and off separately to save lighting the whole place. Ensure that recessed lights are spaced according to the ceiling you have after you've put wall cupboards in place (tall ones flush to the ceiling also saves cleaning and you can use a slim stepladder to reach stores etc in the upper shelves) and ensure that lights are central above work surfaces so you aren't working in your own shadow. My electrician refused to believe this would be the case and we had to install a second row of lights to correct his error. I hope this helps. (You'll clock that my lights were not put in well!)

Thanks for the replies. @Ellie I think my partner got the idea of a horizontal one from a one pitch roof photo on here. they do look really nice. @oneplan that's a really good point re lining up windows if they are horizontal. Although I think long horizontal ones is the builders last choice as he says they'll take longer to install. We're paying a day rate so trying to get everything pinned down in advance and as slick as possible. Our internal layout is slightly different to the floor plan I added to the comments. The kitchen is going in the centre in the 'old' extension (front of the house is Victorian and existing extension is 1990s). The new extension will have the sitting area on the left and the dining area on the right (so the opposite of the floor plan). This is because the wood burner will need to go on the left side and we want the seating area around that. Do you have any thoughts on narrow vehicle windows one on either side for the gable roof? I'll try to find the photo of what I mean. Thanks

Hi Jonathan, wow! really appreciate your effort, thank you. You have given a great alternative, we have two hesitations, the left lounge has got best views to the garden and we'd like to leave it a simple lounge. We are hoping to extend it a little the make the garden facing wall a straight line. Also my mother will visit us maybe once in few years but she will stay for few months when she does. So I don't want to convert the living/dining areas as a bedroom as it won't get used much. I'll attach our current house plan, we are hoping to have a similar kitchen, except we don't know where to push the utility room to.
